“We’re working with Intel on accelerating the performance of the data grid and expanding its footprint by utilizing things like Intel SSDs and flash devices. We’re also doing some benchmarking with Intel 3D XPoint. Basically moving the data to the point where you have all the performance capabilities of a data grid, processing things at millisecond speed, but without the need to sacrifice persistency, which is something that Intel 3D XPoint and Storage Class Memory devices provide,” says Ali.
In the podcast, Ali further discusses how Intel’s funding of GigaSpaces will drive continued product innovation, and expand its sales organization worldwide in the area of hybrid transactions/analytics processing, in-memory data grids, and real-time analytics.
