New Article: “Considering Datastores.”

I just published “Considering Datastores” in the “articles” section of my blog, a piece discussing various data storage mechanisms and their strengths and weaknesses compared to each other.

Technologies addressed include JDBC, JPA, GigaSpaces, MongoDB, JCR, and DB4O.

This is the article that came out of the benchmarks I mentioned in “Hibernate is faster than I thought it was” and “Commentary on the datastore benchmark.”

This piece had been accepted for publication by a formal site (and others had expressed interest) but … meh, this way I can update it as new data comes in.

I hope you like it.
