JavaOne 2009 Lab - PetClinic in the Clouds
Posted 22 May 2009 @ 9:26 am by Shay HassidimThis year JavaOne will include really cool lab - PetClinic in the Clouds: Scaling a Classic Enterprise Application.
In this Hands-on Lab, participants will take a popular Web application (the Spring PetClinic sample application) and modify it so that it can be deployed on the Amazon EC2 cloud computing infrastructure. They will be exposed to using the GigaSpaces platform as a service, in-memory data grid concepts, the OpenSpaces framework, cloud computing concepts, cloud tooling and GigaSpaces persistence as a service using Sun's MySQLTM database technology.
The legendary Daniel Templeton will be leading this lab. Myself will be co-hosting this lab together with Michal Bachorik.
